The Antique Village of Tragliata
Taste and Substance. The antique village of Tragliata, located at the gates of Rome, sits high on a picturesque crest of tuff rock. The village’s origins date back to the Etruscan era, highlighting the original block walls, lofts and funnel silos that remain preserved still today. In addition to this history, the antique tower that was once used for sighting of the Saracens is a renovated accommodating apartment named “Torre”.
The sixth-century houses that are incorporated in the core of the estate are currently used for our guest’s overnight stay. There are two beautiful churches in the ancient village, the original medieval-era church and a baroque-style parish where Catholic weddings take place.
Located only 25km from Rome, Tragliata village offers an array of award-winning premium services for children and adults looking to organize a stay in a unique countryside setting.
In 1917 Domenico Lanza, great-grandfather of the current owner Andrea del Gallo di Roccagiovine accepted the title of the property of the Tragliata manor from the Chapter of San Peter, and in 1944 Mr.Lanza definitively purchased the estate from the Chapter.
